What an amazing night at the 2024 Night To Shine Event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation! It was an unforgettable experience being a part of this incredible event that is dedicated to providing a special evening for those with special needs aged 14 and older. Our team was honored to be a part of such an important celebration.

Our team had an incredible time serving lunch together to our neighbors at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Greater Baton Rouge! We are grateful for the work they are doing in our city. It was heartwarming to see the smiles on the faces of those we served, and it was a humbling experience to be able to give back in this way.

Our team had a great day raising funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation today. ALSF's mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.

Highland Wealth advisors teed off for a great cause at the 6th Annual Westlake Corporation Charity Golf Tournament in support of Capital Area United Way. Our team had a great time hitting the links alongside clients and friends at Pelican Point Golf Club.

Our team had an amazing time at Catholic High School’s Taste Fair and Auction, supporting HW advisor, Madison Dillard, who is on the alumni board of directors for the school. We enjoyed delicious food from 25 different restaurants and had a great time with clients and friends. It was great to be a part of an event that raises money for scholarships, which helps students reach their full potential. Thank you to the CHS Alumni Association and Mothers' Club for organizing such an enjoyable and impactful event.

Gavin Filasek was chosen as an honoree for this year’s EXCEL Baton Rouge Best Dressed Ball, benefiting the American Cancer Society! It is with HOPE for the FIGHT that we stand with this foundation as they ultimately work with diligence to defeat this disease.

This Spring, our team held a food drive for the local food bank. The whole Baton Rouge district really stepped up to help us meet our goal. In addition, we had the pleasure of touring the GBRFB as well as sort and box several items.

Our team participated in the "Hams for Fams" outreach over the weekend with Healing Place Church. We had the pleasure of serving alongside several community members, packing cars with hams and groceries to be delivered to families in need.

Best Dressed Ball
Myles, Madison & Whitney from our team attended the 2021 Best Dressed Ball to benefit the American Cancer Society. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of all our capital city patrons, raising over $2MM in the name of cancer research. We are looking forward to working more with the American Cancer Society in the future!

Ode to our Warriors
Our team had the pleasure of serving a local veterans organization "Ode to our Warriors" this week. The team participated in extensive grounds keeping, as well as the reorganization of donations. They also had the chance to spend some time with the veterans, hearing their stories, offering encouragement, and making connections. We want to thank other members of the Northwestern Mutual Baton Rouge Chapter for donating suits to the organization, as the veterans begin their professional path back into society.

The partners hosted the team and their families to a Crawfish Boil in April. We enjoyed bouncy houses, backyard games, & endless pounds of crawfish! It is important to us that we spend time as a team and make memories as we build Highland Wealth.

In honor of the late Bill Hornsby, our team volunteered with the Salvation Army USA. Bill was passionate about “DOING THE MOST GOOD” and always looked for opportunities to serve others. Highland Wealth also celebrated the Christmas holiday in style! The team enjoyed a wonderful meal, as well as live music and team awards! We are always grateful to be together!

Hams For Fams is an organization that delivers baskets of food to households that would not otherwise receive a proper Christmas meal, or any meal, during the holiday season. Our team enjoyed serving the local chapter by delivering items to homes within the Baton Rouge community.

Casting for the Kids
Madison and Myles had a great time representing the firm at “Casting for the Kids”. This was a fundraiser for ON RIVER TIME, which is a nonprofit that focuses on mentoring neglected and abused children while connecting them to nature thru fly fishing and other outdoor activities.

Northshore Heart Walk
Valerie and her family participated in the annual Northshore Heart Walk at Fountainbleau State Park in support of her friend’s son, Dylan, who was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. This is her 5th year participating and we are proud of the passion she has for this event. Dylan’s team raised over $10,000 for the American Heart Association this year.

Administrative Professionals Day - Top Golf
Instead of the usual appreciation lunch, we decided to celebrate our administrative crew at Top Golf. We had a blast seeing some great (and some questionable) golf swings from the team. We are thankful for all that they do to help make our clients secure and happy!

LSU Sweet 16- Washington D.C.
Along with a few clients, the guys took a quick trip to our nation’s capital to cheer on LSU Men’s Basketball during NCAA March Madness. Our Tigers came up short, but it was an amazing experience where we got to tour Capitol Hill and visit the Speaker’s Balcony.
